Masala Chai - India

Masala chai, or spiced milk tea, is a hugely popular drink in India, not just for its delicious spiced flavor and warmth but also for its numerous health benefits: better digestion, relief for aches and pains, cold and cough prevention, bone protection, etc. It's served piping hot and has a rich, aromatic flavor profile, as it's commonly made with cinnamon, cardamom, dried ginger root, peppercorns, cloves and fennel. Obviously, the combination of spices can be tweaked to one's liking, but it should always be made with full-fat milk for the best flavor.
