Kanzake - Japan

If you're a sushi-lover, you might have tried sake at some point. It's the famous Japanese alcoholic beverage made with fermented rice. Kansake is basically warmed sake, and there is a whole scale of temperatures associated with different names for the drink. Warm (40°C) and hot (50°C) sakes are the most widely consumed kinds at Japanese restaurants during the colder season. It's generally recommended to choose dryer sakes for this, as they withstand the heating process better. Floral and fruity sakes, on the other hand, are best served cold.
