6. Skip the Fancy Decorations

If you're celebrating Christmas with few people this year, there's no need to pull out all the stops and waste money on expensive table decorations. If you have a nice silverware set, bring that out, and decorate the table with objects you already have on hand. Spare ornaments, pine cones from your backyard, budget-friendly candles—you can create a lovely table if you make  the effort to be resourceful and creative!
