The 8 ultimate secrets for perfect homemade pasta

The essential ingredients

To make homemade pasta from scratch, you’re going to need a few basic ingredients, namely either flour and eggs or flour and water.

To make pasta with eggs, the ratio is two doses or flour for 1 dose of egg, in other words 1 cup of flour for 1 egg.

For pasta without eggs, the ratio is ½ cup water for 1 cup flour.

Bear in mind that Italians sometimes replace half of the flour with semolina, which makes them more resistant to cooking.
