 Firstly, you can’t precook pasta. If you’re going to try to save time by partially cooking pasta in advance, forget about it. The only thing you’ll end up with is a lump of tasteless mush.

Also forget about rinsing pasta in running water once it’s cooked. It’s a totally useless thing to do, not to mention that you’re basically just making your pasta cold!

Adding oil to the cooking water is also a waste of time because it doesn’t actually do anything – the only way to get pasta to not stick together is by cooking it in a large enough pot filled with lots of water!
