The Tamale Place - Indianapolis, IN

Featured on Guy Fieri's popular Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", The Tamale Place is an Indy institution for massive, authentic, hand-tied, hand-made Mexican tamales. Owned and run by husband-and-wife duo Vladimir Ronces and Angela Green, the restaurant churns out hundreds of delicious tamales on the daily, using all-natural ingredients and centuries-old preparation methods. Locals appreciate their fresh flavors and the wide variety of stuffings that are available, including vegetarian and sweet options. Just make sure you go earlier in the day—once they run out of tamales (and they often do), they have to close up shop for the day.
