Popularly referred to as GTO's by the locals, Guanajuato Mexican Restaurant has been a beloved fixture of Milwaukee's Bay View community for more than a decade. In casual surroundings and a laidback atmosphere, you can expect hearty plates of classic Mexican staples done right. It's not meant to be a life-changing experience but more of a go-to when you've got cravings for frozen margaritas, chips & salsa, tacos, burritos, chimichangas or even huevo rancheros, if you go for breakfast. The restaurant also operates a food truck at various locations around town (check their Insta for locations and dates).
Get this: Tacos de lomo—3 steak tacos in corn or flour tortillas, topped with cilantro and onions, served with rice and beans.

These quick and easy chicken quesadillas are the perfect, last-minute family dinner!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
- 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
- 4 Tortillas
- Cheddar
- Salt, to taste
METHOD:
- Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
- Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
- Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
- Enjoy!
