In addition to its more casual counterparts (two taquerias and two al pastor locations), the flagship restaurant offers a very New York experience serving high-end contemporary sharing plates made with seasonal ingredients. Highlights include the guacamole appetizer served with a flight of seven different salsas that vary in heat, the maitake mushroom tacos, the skirt steak with bone marrow salsa and the avocado ice cream with lime raspado and eucalyptus yogurt. Yes, the menu is pricy, but if you go for lunch, you can try the prix-fixe menu for $42, which includes an appetizer, main and dessert.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
  • 4 Tortillas
  • Cheddar
  • Salt, to taste

METHOD:

  1. Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
  2. Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
  3. Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
