Khachapuri
Khachapuri is the national dish of Georgia and an immense source of pride for its cultural heritage. It's a traditional preparation of cheese-filled bread, with multiple variations depending on the region in which it is prepared. Adjarian khachapuri is a well-known version, with its signature boat-shaped bread, filled with cheese, butter and egg yolk. The bread is typically ripped off in pieces, to dip into the unctuous center. Sometimes the bread is infused with salted cheese as well. It's comforting and hearty, and equally popular as a street food as it is in restaurants.
