Delayed Growth

Vitamin A is necessary for the proper development of the human body, so if your kids aren't getting enough, make sure they eat a well-balanced incorporating vitamin A in order for them to grow properly.

Studies have shown that vitamin A supplements, alone or with other nutrients, can improve growth, but the best way to get these nutrients is via food. Although most of these studies were conducted in children in developing nations, you'd be surprised how much a poor diet can impact our kids - they're growing all the time!

What can you do to prevent this?

We know it's difficult getting your kids to eat veggies, but as mentioned above, thankfully it's the colorful ones that are full of vitamin A and usually kids aren't too fussy about them!

While it might be difficult to convince them to eat kale and/or spinach, canteloupe melon often works as kids love its juciness - just watch out for sticky hands once it's eaten! The same goes for mango, which can be sliced into strips or added to smoothies and popsicles. Delish.
