Trouble Conceiving

For both men and women, vitamin A is vital when it comes to reproductive health. There are many reasons why fertility issues can occur, but do make sure you're getting enough vitamin A if you're wanting to introduce a little one into the world.

Vitamin A is essential for the development of ovary cells. Research has found that vitamin A is necessary for postive fertility health in animals.

Vitamin A is particularly important during pregnancy as it can help with the development of your baby, including its respiratory and central nervous systems, bones, organs, and eyes.

If you are about to give birth, make sure you're getting enough vitamin A as it helps with postpartum tissue repair. It also helps maintain normal vision, fights infections, and supports your own  immune system.

What can you do to prevent this?

You're likely to get a fair amount of vitamin A from fortified milk, cheese, eggs, oily fish, and cereals. Liver is also a particularly good source of vitamin A (such as liver pâté) but stick to having it only once a week as you could be at risk of taking in too much vitamin A if eaten more.
