Ingredients

For about 20 croquettes

  • Béchamel sauce made with 3 tablespoons butter, 1/2 cup flour and 2 cups milk, seasoned with salt and freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, if you can find it)
  • 3 ounces Spanish smoked ham (Serrano)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 quart oil for frying

  • Cheddar cheese
  • Mozarella
  • 1 baguette
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Bacon

METHOD

  1. Cut your cheeses into thin slices
  2. Slice baguette down the middle (like a sandwich)
  3. Layer cheddar, blue, and mozarella cheese inside the bread
  4. Top with sun-dried tomatoes
  5. Close baguette and wrap with bacon strips
  6. Put in oven and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees
  7. Slice and serve!
