This recipe is a typical Southern side dish that spells comfort with a capital C. It would go perfectly alongside a small slab of sticky BBQ ribs or pulled pork sliders.
To make, pour 3 drained cans of whole kernel corn into your slow cooker. Add 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, stirring well until combined. Top with 8 ounces cream cheese cut into cubes and 1 stick of butter cut into thin slices. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. Uncover, and give it a good stir to make sure the butter and cheese is fully incorporated. Cover and cook for 15 minutes more. Serve immediately.
