Nip your bad eating habits in the bud

As the saying goes, "abs are made in the kitchen." Those pesky love handles that popped up are most likely a result of poor diet and not enough exercise. If you want to slim down, take a closer look at your eating habits. Throw out the bags of chips and candy, or better yet, don't buy them at all. It goes without saying that high-fat foods containing tons of sugar or fried and processed food products are the first things you should banish from your diet. They provide little to no nutritional value and get quickly stored as abdominal fat.

INGREDIENTS

  • Peanuts
  • Carrot
  • Mango
  • Rocket
  • 2 limes
  • Olive oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Red onion, minced
  • Salt
  • Pepper

 

METHOD

  1. Lightly sautée the peanuts until golden.
  2. Take the carrots and cut into thin slices.
  3. Peel the mango and slice into thin strips.
  4. Squeeze the juice from 2 limes into a bowl, and add olive oil, soy sauce, minced onion, salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, toss together the mango, carrot, rocket, and lime-soy dressing.
  6. Enjoy!
