Moroccan tagine

In a special tagine cooking dish or Dutch oven, heat the oil and brown chopped lamb with sliced onions. Season with salt and pepper. Add cumin, ras-el-hanout (North African spice mix), 1 cinnamon stick and slivered almonds. Cover with water, add candied lemons and simmer. Add fresh cilantro when serving.
