Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Water

 Filling:

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

 Method

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and water in a pan, and mix until you form a dough.
  2. In a saucepan, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onion. Cook on medium-high until onion has softened.  
  3. Add the ground beef, and add the salt, water, and tomato sauce. When the meat has browned, remove from heat. 
  4. Dust a flat surface with flour, and roll out the dough into a flat sheet. 
  5. Use a ramekin or cup to cut out circles. 
  6. Add a dollop of beef-tomato mixture to the center of each circle. 
  7. Pinch the dough into a little pocket.
  8. Bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!

  • 1 pkg. defrosted puff pastry
  • 2 cups diced cooked Turkey
  • 2 peeled, diced potatoes
  • 1 celery rib, cubed
  • 1 carrot, peeled, diced

I came up with this recipe because I had leftover chicken

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 rib of celery diced
  • ½ of a small onion diced
  • 14 ounce can reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 10.5 ounce can reduced sodium cream of chicken soup
  • 1-2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded
  • 5 count can flaky layer biscuits divided and cut into pieces

This simple casserole was given to me by my grandma

  • 4 tablespoons walnut or other oil
  • 2 cups thawed frozen pearl onions
  • 8 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup fine chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fine chopped fresh sage
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh rosemary fronds

  • 3 bay leaves in cheesecloth packet
  • 4 cups canned chicken stock
  • 2 pounds thawed frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 pound thawed frozen cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup thawed frozen peas
  • 4 cups shredded leftoved chicken
  • 2 packages refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 teaspoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne or red pepper flakes
  • Coarse kosher or sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

This will really s-t-r-e-t-c-h that turkey because you use the carcass to make this yummy soup

  • Bring to boil and simmer for two hours. Strain the bones in a colander, saving the broth created.
  • When cool, pick remaining turkey meat from the bone and place into the broth.
  • Add:
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 can of chopped mushrooms
  • 1 stalk of celery, diced or chopped
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 t. chicken bouillon granules to taste
  • Cook until carrots are tender about 20 minutes.
