Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Place the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat on low until the chocolate is mostly melted
- 1-1/3 cups chopped bittersweet chocolate or semisweet chips
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)
Hungarian Zucchini Squash with Dill (Tokfozelek)

Here's a delicious Hungarian recipe for creamed zucchini with a hint of dill
- 6 zucchini squash
- 1 tbsp of salt
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 3 sprigs of fresh dill
- 1 very small onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 1 3/4 tbsp sugar
Basic Muffins

Preheat oven to 400° Thoroughly grease and flour a muffin pan (or use paper muffin liners)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 stick butter or shortening
Chicken Soup

Cut up chicken and place cleaned pieces into large soup pot with water, salt, and peppercorns

- 4 quarts water (or 1/2 water 1/2 stock)

- 3 parsnips
- 3 ribs celery w/ leaves,
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 onion, unpeeled
- 1 thread Saffron

Preheat oven to 375 degrees COOKIES: In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt
- COOKIES:
- 2-½ cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 whole (15-ounce) Container Of Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
- GLAZE:
- 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
Cinnamon Walnut Crescent Cookies

Preheat the oven to 375° DOUGH: Stir the dry ingredients together in a large bowl,
- DOUGH:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, chilled and cut into pieces
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 large egg, separated
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- FILLING:
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup walnut halves, toasted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Macaroni & Cheese

Pre-heat oven to 375. Fill a large pot of water with water and bring to a boil
- 3/4 lb Elbow Macaroni
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard
Corn Casserole

Combine and pour into casserole dish,
- 1 can corn (not drained)
- 1 can cream style corn
- 1 box Jiffy corn bread mix
- 1/2 stick of melted butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Rum Cake

- 1 package of yellow cake mix (butter yellow is best)
- 1 package of instant vanilla pudding
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup of water
- 3/4 cup of rum
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
Mini Pecan Tarts

- FOR THE SHELLS:
- ½ cup butter
- 3 ounces soft cream cheese
- 1 cup flour
- FOR THE FILLING:
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- ¾ cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 whole egg
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
