5. Spin the salad

Crisp iceberg lettuce leaves give a cheeseburger a much needed crunch, so don't rush when preparing it. Store lettuce in a crisper before hand, wash carefully by hand (nobody wants to bite down on bits of sand), and spin excess water out of it thoroughly (if you don't have a salad spinner, put it in a clean tea-towel and swing around your head like a Lettuce Warrior) to ensure it doesn't make your cheeesburger soggy.
