Calzone

You're probably already familiar with the famous Italian calzone. Considered to be Italy's version of a dumpling, it's basically just an oven-baked folded pizza dough stuffed with any variety of meats, cheeses and/or veggies. The typical recipe includes ricotta, mozzarella, salami/ham, and parmesan/pecorino cheese. Italian lunch counters often sell them in sandwich-sized versions convenient for eating while walking, but you can also find larger ones offered at pizzerias.
