You took your eyes off the stove for just one minute and came back to totally mushy peas and zucchini. Yuck! The easiest way to save this situation is to blend them up and turn them into a puree or soup. It may not be as good as a crisp green bean, but at least that way you're not throwing food away. Because sadly there's no other way to save a limp, mushy stalk of asparagus.
