The Differences Between Types of Honey

Honey comes in many different varieties, each with its own unique taste and texture. The determining factor for the color, flavor, and consistency is the type of flower that the bees primarily visit. Depending on the variety, the composition of the ingredients changes, which in turn affects the taste and texture. For example, rapeseed honey contains a lot of glucose, which causes it to solidify more quickly. Linden honey, on the other hand, is sweet with a distinctive minty flavor. Spicier types of honey are often great for cooking or sweetening teas. Ultimately, the choice of honey variety is a matter of personal preference.
