A-bomb testing in the Nevada dessert which began in 1951 inspired an entire cultural and arts movement including the “energy and motion made visible” paintings of Jackson Pollock, end-of-days themed films, and even expressions like 'bombshell blonde'. It didn't leave the party scene unchanged either. From the early 50's 'Atomic Cocktail' recipes began popping up like mushroom clouds on menus across America. There are plenty of variations on the drink, but with it's violent neon orange coloring and acid green lime garnish, this version seems especially appropriate.
