Ah Chex Mix... what would a party be without a sugary, salty bowl of breakfast cereal, pretzels and nuts? Chex cereal itself dates back to 1937, but the recipe for Chex Mix didn't appear on boxes till 1952. It's thought that it really took off after being served by the wife of a high flying executive in St. Louis in 1955, but regardless of it's history, it became and has endured as an vital party snack.
