3. Poultry Age vs. Quality

The age of a chicken when it is slaughtered is usually a pretty good indicator of quality. Some chickens are slaughtered very young, at about 45 days, while others are between 50 and 70 days. High quality chickens are killed between 110 and 120 days,  and will usually have more flavor.
