7. How To Keep Chicken

Poultry is known to harbor bacteria and sometimes cause food poisoning, so it's important to store and prepare it properly. If you want to freeze your meat, do so when it's as fresh as possible. Defrost your chicken by thawing it in the refrigerator, then at room temperature.  Allow up to 2 days in the refrigerator for raw meat, and 3-4 days for cooked meat. Proper handling will lower the risk of bacteria and food-related illness.
