Chocolate chip cookies

When it comes to kids, you can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookies. Watch them be gobbled up in no time at the next school holiday party!

To prepare authentic chocolate chip cookies, mix 1 cup softened butter with 1 cup brown sugar. Add 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour blended with 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt. Add 1 cup chocolate chips, and mix well. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto a greaseproof baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350° F. For some tasty variations, you can add roughly grated white chocolate, nuts or raisins.
